Begg sold the property to 611-613 Commerce, LLC in May of 2015, for an undisclosed sum.
611-613 Commerce, LLC and Metro Studio architects recently submitted new drawings and renderings to the Historic Districts Landmark Commission for review.
According to plans, the new developer is building a 65-foot building with ground floor parking and five floors of residences. The 23,345 square foot project would include 10 two-bedroom apartments with more than two parking spaces available for each unit. Each unit would be near 2,000 square feet and one each floor, one unit will face Tchoupitoulas Street and another will face Commerce Street.
The development sits directly adjacent to the proposed seven-story, 166 room Cambria Inn & Suites by Ohio-based Filmore Hospitality, which is currently under construction.
