Construction on the new Louis Armstrong International Airport is well underway, and it looks like the contractors are making good progress.

In a recent board update dated September 21, 2017, the airport provided a progress report.  According to the report, contractors have started paving operations and continued with steel erection.  The report notes that “construction is on schedule.”   The Stormwater pump station is in the close-out phase.

The city recently added a new $110 million terminal to the plans, and selected the new restaurant and food hall operators for the new terminals but are still trying to find a hotel operator.
