Developer Pieter Stoffels, through his entity Gulf Properties LLC, has announced plans for NOLA City Beach, a beach, pool, restaurant, and music venue for Algiers Point.

Stoffels secured a 99 year lease on private property near the Algiers ferry terminal, and plans to build a newly constructed, elevated wharf to house the project.  The wharf would has a pool, lounge area, huge beach overlooking the river, and a two story restaurant and music venue.

Stoffels believes that the project will attract tons of tourists from downtown New Orleans.  The project would be open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. on weekends.  They plan to charge a $15 cover charge to access the pool.  The project also includes a 110-space parking lot.
