Our friends at Curbed spotted a new analysis of green LEED construction nationally by ABODO, which ranks New Orleans 21st with 502 LEED-certified projects completed or underway.

The ABODO report ranks Texas (with 6,945 LEED-certified residential projects), California (5,255 projects), and New York (2,215) as the top three states.

LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, and is generally considered the standard for evaluating “green” construction.

Some local green projects include the $5million Green Hotel proposed for Central City and Brad Pitt’s Make it Right Foundation homes.
