The LSU Foundation has selected 1532 Tulane Partners, a joint venture between New York-based El Ad U.S. Holdings and New Orleans-based CCNO Development Inc., to lead the redevelopment of Charity Hospital.  The total project cost is expected to be $564 million.

Their plan calls for a mix of market rate apartment, affordable apartments, retail, and office space, and include Tulane University as an anchor tenant.

The team that lost out was a joint venture between New Orleans-based HRI Properties and Iris Development, who had a similar mix of uses but who had also proposed a massive $110 million development that would span four city blocks and include 382,000 square feet of space.
