Plans were filed with the city this month to redevelop the warehouse building at 4141 Bienville into an office/retail complex by Stirling Properties.

We originally reported the news back in November 2014, but now have more details about what the development will include.

The warehouse sits adjacent to Mid City Market, so this is a natural fit for the building. Stirling Properties is the developer of this project.  The entire project is a  $4.5 million renovation of the 58,000-square-foot warehouse that formerly housed the Loubat Foodservice company.

The development will include 31,000 square feet of office space, 6,000 square feet of retail, a 2,800-square-foot restaurant, and 27 covered parking spaces and 99 outdoor spaces.

Description of the project from the permit:

Structural renovation to existing building as per plans to create multiple new retail and office spaces. Renovation includes roof, refurbishing windows, install clerestory windows, replacing general as needed per code, new plumbing, replacing meters, new transformer pad, parking garage and parking, interior corridor and bathroom. Adding tenant demising walls.

Heres what the building looks like today:

The building will consist of about 9,000 sqft of retail and about 30,000 sqft of office space.
