Northpark Business Park, the business park on the Northshore with heavy weights such as Chevron, has announced that industrial carbon producers Rain CII will anchor its ambitious 80 acre expansion plan.

Rain CII plans to bring 70 employees from its Houston-area headquarters to the new  $5.6 million, three-story Covington office.  Rain CII is to occupy a little more than half of the available 38,000-square-feet of office space in the new building.

The building was designed by Fauntleroy Latham Weldon Barré Architects of Covington.  The general contractor is Spartan Building Corp. of Madisonville.

Barry Spizer is the managing member of SRSA Commercial Real estate, part of the group developing and managing Northpark.

The idea for expanding Northpark is to create a smaller version of the high end Woodlands outside of Houston.  The Woodlands is a  master-planned community that was built for corporate giants in the oil, banking and pharmaceutical segments.
