The retail and restaurant world continues to grow, with new places opening it seems every month. Here is this week’s round up from the newly announced openings/moves.
At the South Market District, Covington’s Simplee Gourmet will open its second store at The Beacon. The location at 1000 Girod Street is 3,000 square feet and will feature cooking utensils and wares from Le Creuset, and also provide cooking classes.
On Maple Street, our friends at the Uptown Messenger tell us that popular Marigny gastropug Three Muses is opening a new location at 7537 Maple Street, a building that formerly The Doors Bar and Ichi Japanese Ramen House. Three Muses has long sought a location uptown, and we are glad they finally settled on a great location.
Finally, Hookah House on Magazine Street received approval to extend their hours from the City Planning Commission, according to Uptown Messenger. The City Council granted the restaurant the extension to go from 10pm to midnight on the weekdays.
