The developer of 801 Magazine Street has partnered with St. Roch Market to open a new food hall in the Warehouse District.

The new market, called Auction House Market, will be located at the corner of Julia and Magazine. The market will feature 10 food vendors and a space for special events.    Will Donaldson and Barre Tanguis of St. Roch are the driving force behind the market.

Developer Felicity Property Co. filed plans in March that includes 8 to 13 apartments on the upper floors.  There is also an additional 3,200 square foot space that will house an additional commercial tenant.  The entire building is 24,000 square feet, and was originally built in 1895.

Construction should start in early May.  Studio WTA is the architect.

By the time Auction House Market opens, it will be the city’s third food hall behind St. Roch and the new Pythian Market, which opens in May.
