There has been plenty of activity in the Lower Garden District and Irish Channel over the last year, most of it centered around Magazine Street.
Let’s take a look at what’s going on:
2802 Magazine Street recently broke ground. The 7 unit condo development will feature restaurant Brick and Spoon on the ground floor.
Another Broken Egg Cafe, a regional breakfast chain that started in Mandeville and moved to Destin, is now open in the former Cafe Rani space on Magazine.
Construction at West Elm is moving along nicely at 7th and Magazine. The second floor of the building has been framed and the project is starting to take shape.
Discoveries Furniture recently opened at 2850 Magazine. Discoveries scours India, Indonesia, China and Morocco to bring you unique finds and one-of-a-kinds along with our own solid wood furniture designs.
Bin 428, a boutique/upscale liquor and wine store opened in the retail strip by Starbucks at 2801 Magazine Street.
A J & J, Asian Bistro has erected a sign up in the former Agora Gift Mall space at Philip and Magazine (down the street from Steins).
