The DoubleTree by Hilton New Orleans at 300 Canal Street is undergoing a $25 million renovation of its guest rooms, lobby and meeting space, offering guests and locals an entirely new look and feel.   Company representatives say the full new design will be unveiled in February 2017.

A full overhaul of the hotel’s 367 guest rooms is included in the renovations. Each room will be completely redecorated, and will be equipped with mini-fridges as well as brand new 42-inch LED televisions, with suites boasting 50-inch LED televisions. The 16,000 sq. ft. of flexible meeting and event space will also be revived during the renovation.

The Product Improvement Plan (PIP) was approved by Hilton in December 2014, and construction began shortly thereafter.

“We’re excited about our renovation and believe the rejuvenated look will make all of our guests do a double take,” said General Manager Scott Ward in a news release.

The renovations will also include some environmentally friendly features, like recyclable containers and A/C filers in each room, digital thermostats in each room, and new high-end water softeners and water-usage-reducing toilets. The hotel has also installed three high efficiency hot water heaters and an energy management system to control HVAC.

Complete Property Services, Inc. out of Florida is the general contractor, and Montgomery Roth is the architect.
