New $12.5 Million Movie Studio Opens in New Orleans East [Video]

The new multi-million dollar Starlight Studios opened in New Orleans East yesterday, June 19.

The $12.5 million project includes over 35 acres of developable space, a 32,000 square foot sound stage and a 13,000 square foot sound stage, making it the largest in New Orleans. The entire project is new construction.

Entrepreneur Billy Burk is behind the project, which aims to employee over 200. Burk also wants to expand, with plans to invest another $12.5 million in two new stages and an office building.
