The New Orleans Business Alliance (NOLABA) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI) hosted their first Real Estate Breakfast Event this morning.
The event featured Asali DeVan Ecclesiastes, director of the strategic neighborhood development at NOLABA and recent “12 Icons of New Orleans” honoree, who discussed the Cultural Innovation District in the Claiborne Corridor.
The District’s master plan, informed by a series of 11 designed charrettes held with residents and architects from May 2017 to February 2018, sets out to beautify the corridor while increasing jobs and economic stability through innovations such as a marketplace built with green infrastructure. Asali was also a recent TED Talk speaker.

The real estate breakfast series will continue with future events scheduled for May 7, August 6, and November 5. The breakfasts are aimed to encourage professional connections and spark thoughtful commentary on the local real estate market.
