Ochsner Health and St. Tammany Health System opened their new $50 million, 75,000-square foot Cancer Center this week in Covington.
The facility is part of the Ochsner Health Center campus near St. Tammany Parish Hospital. It features 47 private and semi-private infusion bays overlooking the Flowers Bayou forest. It also has digital health machine programs and will offer access to clinical trials and programs.
The center will treat 20 types of cancer and is double the size of the previous center. The facility will have over 30 physicians, over 80 other health care professionals on site and offer medical services like physical therapy, yoga, acupuncture, rehabilitation area, survivorship services and meditation space.
