Condo and Retail Development on Magazine Breaks Ground

Developer Chris Sarpy started test pilings at 2802 Magazine, which will eventually be a 3 story, 7 unit condo building that will include the restaurant Brick and Spoon at the bottom floor.

Six of the seven units will be 1,400 square feet, and a penthouse will be closer to 2,000. All units will have two bedrooms.

The ground floor plans show the 4,500-square foot retail space split in two.  The broker listing asks $32/square foot, or  $12,000/month for the whole thing.

The building’s façade will feature all brick with balconies and lot of glass.

Brick and Spoon is a casual restaurant that serves breakfast and southern style unches.  Owners Ryan Trahan & Blane Guillory founded Brick & Spoon because they wanted to spread the southern mojo across the country.
