Dr. Tarun Jolly closed on the 32,600-square-foot downtown office building that he plans to use as the headquarters for his booming pharmaceutical and DNA testing company.
The 4 story building at 301 St. Charles Ave. went back on the market in May after another deal fell through.
Tarun will use the building for headquarters for Renaissance RX, Jolly’s toxicology and DNA testing company that’s currently housed at the New Orleans BioInnovation Center incubator on Canal Street. The company, which began in 2012 with three employees, has grown to more than 800 employees in 44 states.
White said Renaissance RX will use about 24,000 square feet on the top three floors of the building for offices. The bottom floor will have about 5,000 to 6,000 square feet available for a retail tenant.
Parke McEnery of the McEnery Co., the listing agent for the property, told CSB that the building was sold at the list price. The building had been on the market for nearly a year.
