The State Palace Theater is reportedly ready to be redeveloped, and the owner is asking $42 per square foot for ground floor retail space on Canal Street, according to a property listing.
The 1920s Canal Street theater that’s been out of commission since Katrina was purchased last year for $3.5 million by real estate developer Gregor Fox.
The proposed redevelopment offers 9,263 square feet of ground floor retail and 11,930 square feet of second floor retail or office, with the potential to build on up to 7,500 square feet of additional roof area. You can check out the listing here.
The theater was built in the 1920s for $1.5 million and was devastated in the flooding from Katrina.
