Developers Lawrence Linder and Richard Ehret have proposed a new construction, nine townhouse development on Freret Street.
The new project called Freret Street Mews is slated for 4528 Freret St., currently a vacant parking lot next to the former Publiq House bar.
The development would feature town homes elevated over 28 parking spots. Each home will have two beds and 1.5 baths.
Last week the developers appeared in front of the City Planning Commission. The CPC staff recommended rejecting the project since it clashes with the Master Plan. The developers asked for and received a deferral on the project until the meeting August.
