Ochsner has opened a new health center at 1532 Robert E. Lee Blvd., dubbed Ochsner Health Center – Lake Terrace, where the Lake Terrace Center Shopping Center once stood.
This is the first activity on the site since Hurricane Katrina.
The new three story, 58,000-square-foot facility offers general health services, including primary care, pediatrics and women’s services, lab and imaging and a drive-thru pharmacy.
The redevelopment of the site has overcome many obstacles over the years, including demolition of the old strip mall and a loan from the now defunct First NBC Bank.
Metairie-based McDonnell Group was the general contractor, and VergesRome Architects was the architect.
