A developer is working on new plans to construct a 29,000 square foot retail strip center in Gentilly.
The new strip center will be built at 4242 Chef Menteur Highway, directly across the street from the recently opened Walmart and next to a Walgreens.
The center will be anchored by a Dollar Tree, and calls for 6 other tenant bays and 108 parking spots.
Dorsey Development is the developer. Dorsey is known as one of the largest dollar store builders in the state, although they typically build Dollar Generals, not Dollar Tree’s.
m2 Studio is the architect of record.

It would be nice to have a Ross or Marshall’s in that spot .
How do you contact someone about leasing one of the six available units?
I would like Ross and Marshall’s or t.J Max some type clothing store so you can buy nice dresses.
TJ Maxx, Piccadilly, Calico Corners & a hardware store would be nice, we really need a nice Family restaurant.
