Contractors Owed $11M on Drive Shack Golf Complex in New Orleans

As of July 16, 2020, seven different contractors have filed seven mechanics liens totaling $11.2M million against the Drive Shack golf entertainment complex in New Orleans, LA, according to a report by LevelSet, a New Orleans company that tracks liens across the country.

According to Levelset, the liens were filed against 3800 Howard Investors, LLC as the property owner and Drive Shack New Orleans, LLC as the tenant.

The Drive Shack project is a new $29 million facility built at the former Times-Picayune building on Howard Avenue consisting of 90 driving range bays, restaurant, bar, meeting spaces, and an arcade, along with space for 265 parking spaces. 

General contractor VCC, LLC filed a $7,019,041 claim against the project, the largest to date. Five others have made similar claims for payment against VCC, including subcontractor Durr Heavy Construction, LLC for $2.4M.
