The Pizza Hut franchisee for the Greater New Orleans area, Horizon River Restaurants, is proposing a new restaurant downtown near the intersection of Canal and Carondelet.
Horizon River Restaurants became the new Pizza Hut franchisee for the New Orleans region after Pizza Hut corporate filed suit against their former franchisee, Lundy Enterprises.
As part of Horizon’s expansion plan, they are proposing to open a new restaurant in the CBD at 110 – 114 Carondelet Street.
As part of their proposal to open a new store, Horizon is working with the Downtown Development District to get neighborhood feedback on the proposed store, designs, and location.
They will be hosting a Neighborhood Participation meeting on the evening of April 29 at 6:30 pm at the New Orleans Bioinnovation Center at 1441 Canal Street to share hear their plans for the CBD store.
Horizon River Restaurants is part of the Paradise Companies, LLC portfolio, which also owns and operates Taco Bell, Smashburger, Ihop, and and Applebee’s restaurants throughout the gulf south region.
Pizza Hut’s former New Orleans area franchisee, businessman Larry Lundy of Lundy Enterprises, has been embroiled in a lawsuit with Pizza Hut for years. The legal battle resulted in the closure of more than 40 stores.
