Enterprise software firm Copado announced plans to establish its global headquarters on the sixth floor of 400 Poydras Ave., in Downtown New Orleans. The move is set to bring 59 high-paying jobs with average salaries near $104,000, alongside a company investment of about $1 million.
The October 20 announcement confirmed Copado’s commitment to New Orleans as its HQ location, joining a state-backed incentive package including a $375,000 performance-based grant and workforce assistance via Louisiana Economic Development’s FastStart program. The announcement marks a significant addition to the commercial landscape of New Orleans, fixing the mid-rise former Texaco Center as an attractive spot for tech businesses.
Copado’s relocation not only promises job creation but also potential growth within an already existing workforce in New Orleans. Prior to this, the company employed nearly 100 locals. This strategic expansion looks to leverage local talent while drawing significant investment interest to the 400 Poydras property.
The city expects a positive impact on the downtown office market, with Copado serving as a vibrant new anchor tenant. The headquarters will increase demand for Class A office space in the CBD, contributing to both employment prospects and downtown’s commercial vitality.
