We’ve got new renderings of the new Canopy Hotel being built in the old Oil & Gas building.
Last week, developer Baywood Hotels submitted plans for the hotel to the City’s Design Review committee. They are also seeking the demolition of one small building and a resubdivision of the lots.
Baywood purchased the vacant building at 110 Tulane from Renaissance Neighborhood Development Corp., an affiliate of Volunteers of America, for $7 million in December 2014. RNDC had purchased the building in 2013 for $2.3 million with plans to convert it into mixed-income housing.
