The Jefferson Parish Economic Development Commission (JEDCO) has rebranded the 480-acre Churchill Technology & Business Park in Avondale as the “Churchill Innovation & Research Campus” (CIRC). This strategic move includes marketing 25 site-ready acres and planning a 12,500 square foot food and beverage incubator to entice private employers.

JEDCO unveiled new branding and marketing efforts for the site, confirming that 25 acres are raised and Louisiana Economic Development (LED) Site-Certified. The campus also boasts a REDI Sites Gold designation, further attracting corporate interest. The proposed food and beverage incubator is anticipated to break ground in early 2027.

Located on New Orleans’ West Bank, the campus offers strategic positioning for private R&D and advanced manufacturing. Jefferson Parish President Cynthia Lee Sheng highlighted the site’s development potential, supported by on-site educational partners like Delgado Community College and Patrick F. Taylor Science & Technology Academy.

JEDCO has emphasized that infrastructure due diligence, such as utilities and stormwater management, is complete. This lowers site-selection hurdles and enhances the site’s appeal for corporate occupiers, making it ripe for near-term deals.

With roughly 228 developable acres and 118 acres designated for open space, CIRC aims to play a pivotal role in transforming Jefferson Parish’s economic landscape. The focus on education and workforce development further boosts its attractiveness to investors and corporate tenants.
