Check out these designs for the new artist studios at The Joan Mitchell Center.
The Joan Mitchell Center is a forum for artists and a community gathering place to support the artist community in NOLA.
Currently housed at 2275 Bayou Road, the new center will feature new construction of a single story building with 8,000 square feet for artist studios and support spaces.
The core program of the Center is an artist in residence program, which offers time and space for artists to create work in a contemplative environment, as well as provide opportunities for visiting artists to engage with the local arts community and experience the rich cultural possibilities of New Orleans.
From what we can tell, the new space looks amazing!
