Athena Real Estate is the new brokerage on the block in New Orleans. The company was launched because the team thinks there’s a better way to serve clients in the age-old real estate industry.
Haro told Canal Street Beat that the principals of Athena have worked together as lawyers for many years, developing relationships with each of the agents over time. He said the principals continue to foster relationships with real estate developers, providing agents with the unique opportunity to handle listings referred to them using a collaborative, team approach.
The diverse backgrounds and skills of the Athena agents allow the company to handle a variety of residential and commercial listings.
“In all our relationships we treat you, our client, as the driving force,” the team shared. “We listen to you and build a strategy around your goals… Everything we do is designed to help you make smart, informed decisions.”
Athena provides data and digital tools, including virtual reality tours, to enhance the experience as a buyer or seller. The company has an “Agent Dashboard” system that allows agents to track transactions, upload sales documents, download forms and marketing materials, and request commission payments.
The brokerage is also committed to serving first responders because the team believes strongly in giving back to the community.
“New Orleans simply does not have the resources to pay any of its first responders appropriately. This sparked the idea for Athena to develop a way to step in and assist them,” Haro said. “Athena is proud of the resulting plan, which allows its agents to potentially save first responders thousands of dollars in the purchase or sale of their home.”
Haro and the team expects several more agents to joining the brokerage in the near future. Along with current listings, Athena is working with various developers at this time for projects that will materialize in 2017 and 2018.
