Today’s Development Agenda: New Broad Street Theater & American Can Renovations

636 N. Broad StreetThe Mid-City Messenger reports that the two biggest real estate items on today’s City Council agenda are the new Broad Street movie theater and the renovations to the American Can apartment complex in Mid-City.

Both projects are scheduled for an approve/reject vote by the council.

The Broad Street movie theater is a 4 screen theatre set to take shape in an old historic Spanish colonial building.  You can check out the design plans here.  Get The Gorilla LLC is the owner, and construction cost is estimated at $375,000.

A renovation of the American Can Apartment Complex, which sold for over $30 million, is also on the agenda.  The new owners are proposed a master retail upgrade and exterior facelift.  You can check out the renderings and designs here.
