Cheesecake Factory to Open at Lakeside

Lakeside Shopping Center representatives announced Thursday that they have begun construction on a new space at the mall that will eventually house The Cheesecake Factory.

It will be The Cheesecake Factory’s first Louisiana location and its 169th overall. It will occupy a 9,300-square-foot space at Lakeside and slated to create 300 jobs .

Deerfield Beach, Fla. contractor RCC Associates Inc. filed a construction permit for the site for $7.4 million.

The Cheesecake Factory is one of several new tenants opening at Lakeside this summer, which include Pandora, The Engraving, Well, and Janie and Jack, and a Vera Bradley store that is set to open this spring.
